MC Parks & Recreation Programs for All Ages & Interests

The Michigan City Parks & Recreation Department offers year-round programs for all ages, including youth camps, adult sports leagues, fitness classes, and senior activities. Whether you’re looking to stay active, learn a new skill, or meet people in the community, there’s something for everyone.

Youth Programs

Our youth programs offer kids of all ages a chance to stay active, learn new skills, and have fun. From seasonal sports like baseball, softball, basketball, and soccer to summer camps, swim club, and golf, there’s something for every interest and ability level.

City Kids Day Camp

A fun-filled summer day camp with games, crafts, outdoor play, and themed activities for kids.

Youth Baseball

Learn the fundamentals of baseball in a structured league focused on skill-building, teamwork, and fun.

Girls Softball

A team-oriented league where girls can develop softball skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Junior Golf

A week-long summer camp teaching swing basics and golf games, ending with a tournament and pizza party.

Piranhas Swim Club

A competitive swim club supported by the Parks Department. Open to all skill levels.

MC Wolves Soccer Club

A youth soccer program focused on skill development, teamwork, and competitive play.

Soccer in the Sand

An annual beach soccer tournament at Washington Park with youth, adult, and coed divisions.

Youth Basketball

In partnership with the LaPorte County YMCA, this program builds basketball skills while keeping kids active and engaged.

Passport to Summer Fun!

Pick up a free passport at the Park Office and complete fun activities at nine local parks between June and October. Return your completed passport by early November to claim a prize.

Adult Programs

Our adult programs offer recreational leagues and activities that encourage friendly competition, fitness, and community connection. From softball and volleyball to seasonal beach leagues, there are opportunities for adults of all skill levels to get involved and stay active.

Beach Volleyball League

Join men’s, women’s, or coed beach volleyball divisions for fun, competitive play along Lake Michigan.

Softball League

Sign up for men’s, women’s, or coed softball leagues. Open to players 18+ with divisions based on skill level.

Volleyball League

Indoor men’s, women’s, and coed volleyball leagues for adults 18 and older. Skill-based divisions. Registration details coming soon.

Senior Programs

Our senior programs provide a range of opportunities to stay active, social, and engaged. From fitness and educational classes to games, group outings, and special events, there’s something for every interest and ability level.

Health & Fitness
