About Millennium Plaza

Located at Franklin Street and Lake Shore Drive, Millennium Plaza spans 5 acres along Trail Creek in Washington Park. It features a Greek-style performance stage, checkerboard picnic tables, benches, bike racks, and beautifully maintained gardens. Constructed to commemorate the new millennium, the plaza has become a popular spot for fishing, small gatherings, and reflection.

Millennium Plaza is also home to the Michigan City Firefighters and Police Officers Memorial, a moving tribute featuring life-sized bronze statues, memorial plaques, and five continuously lit flagpoles. Personalized bricks line the walkways through the Engraved Brick Program, honoring individuals and families. For rental details, contact Harbor Country Adventures or the Park Office.
