The Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department is seeking public input for its upcoming 5-year Master Plan for 2027–2030.
Community members are encouraged to share their feedback by completing the 2026 Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department Survey. Input gathered through the survey will help guide future planning and improvements for parks, recreation facilities, programs, and services throughout Michigan City.

Printed surveys are also available at the following locations:
- Park Office
- Michigan City Senior Center
- Washington Park Zoo
- Michigan City Golf Course
- Michigan City Public Library
- LaPorte County Convention and Visitors Bureau
- Mayor Angie’s Office in City Hall
Surveys must be returned to the Park Office by 4:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2026, to be included in the planning process.
There will also be opportunities for public input at the Park Board meetings on October 7, 2026, October 21, 2026, and November 4, 2026.
