About This Facility
Looking to make a splash with your next celebration? The Oasis Splash Park in Washington Park is the perfect venue for birthday parties, family gatherings, and community celebrations during the summer season. This popular family-friendly amenity features interactive water play and is available for private rentals in the evenings throughout June and July.
Rental Hours
Private party rentals are available daily from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM between June 1 and July 27, 2025 (weather permitting). The splash park operates publicly during the day from 11 AM to 4 PM, starting Memorial Day to Labor Day, and is open only when temperatures are 70°F or above.
Parking Information
- Private party guests can receive parking permits for $6.00 each, which must be distributed to guests prior to entry
- Parents dropping off or picking up children will not be charged a fee at the gate
- Permits must be displayed clearly on the vehicle’s dashboard while in Washington Park
Important Notes
- Rentals are subject to weather conditions. The park closes during inclement weather or temperatures below 70°F
- No glass containers or alcoholic beverages allowed
- The splash park must be left clean, and all trash must be disposed of properly
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing at least 30 days in advance for a refund consideration
- No refunds will be issued for weather-related cancellations unless the Park Department officially cancels the event

To reserve your date, complete the rental agreement form and submit payment to the Michigan City Parks Office. Please bring your signed agreement on the day of your event for check-in.
