About This Facility

Host your wedding ceremony on the sands of Lake Michigan! Washington Park Beach in Michigan City offers 2-hour beach wedding rental permits during the months of May through September. Create unforgettable memories with a picturesque ceremony on the sand.

Your rental includes a designated area, plus the opportunity to bring in décor, a wedding arch, and guest seating. Parking is NOT included with the Beach Wedding Permit. Discounted parking passes are available upon request at the Parks Office.

Please note:

  • No open flames or glass containers are allowed.
  • Alcohol must remain within your reserved area and follow local ordinances.
  • Rentals must be booked at least 14 days in advance and are not refundable within 60 days of the event.
