We know how much Washington Park Zoo means to our residents, families, and visitors. Assistant Zoo Director Elizabeth Emerick sat down to speak directly with the community regarding the incident and loss that occurred on June 3. The compassion and support shown by our community in the days following have meant a great deal to the zoo staff, who share a deep bond with the animals in their care.
